Home handicrafts: Repair a Foldable Bag toggle.
If you have a foldable or pouch shopping bag, and the toggle has snapped as they often do, don’t just throw the bag away.
AC Valley has replacements in black and white. With two cord toggles in a pack, it is cheaper than buying a new bag, and much better for the environment and your wallet.
To repair a bag:
Untie the knot at the end of the cord and slide the old broken toggle off.
Push the button on the new toggle down to open the hole through the middle. Thread the bag’s cord through the new toggle. If you have trouble, hook a wire tag through the cord and use it to pull the cord through the hole, or use a thin pen or knitting needle to push it through.
Tie a knot at the end of the cord so the new toggle doesn’t come off.
Good as new!
